Having gained experience in working within an advertising agency, John launched JRW Design & Advertising in 1989. In 1997 John, together with his business partner Paul Wilson incorporated The Golfers Club UK Ltd. The Golfers Club provides golf insurance coupled with additional lifestyle benefits. Using his marketing experience, John has grown the business significantly and The Golfers Club now has over 22,000 golfing members.

In 2004 JRW Group Services Ltd was incorporated with the launch of a new golf insurance brand into the UK golf market; Golf Care, which in a relatively short period has become the largest and most recognisable golf insurance brand in the UK. John also explored the opportunity to provide ‘white label’ golf insurance to the major golf retailers in the UK and as such has since secured long-term exclusive contracts with the three largest retailers to market golf insurance to their customer base.

The JRW Group is now the UK’s largest specialist golf insurance company and owns and operates a number of other golf brands. It is also fully authorised and regulated by the FSA.
